AN ANTIQUE RUSSIAN ENAMEL ICON 1893
An antique Russian icon depicting Nicholas the Wonderworker. To the left and right of the central figure of the saint, there are two round medallions with images of Jesus Christ and the Mother of God. The icon consists of wood painted with tempera and a silver Risa, decorated with gilding, engraved and embossed patterns. The nimbus around the saint's brow is decorated with multicolored patterns using the cloisonné enamel technique. The back is upholstered in green velvet.
