A LOT OF BENOIS RUSSIAN COSTUME DESIGNS PAINTINGS
The lot includes two drawings with costume designs by Nikolai Alexandrovich Benois (1901 - 1988): 1. Design for the small throne from the opera Prince Igor. Signed by the artist and dated (19)63 lower right. Pencil, gouache on paper. 2. The design for the weapon, probably also from the opera Prince Igor. It depicts a bow, a quiver with arrows, and a kind of mace. Pencil, ink, gouache on paper. With the artist's inscriptions.
