Very rare lot containing a GEM Magic Lantern McAllister NY and three glass slides with three vignettes each of them. The Unexcelled Bijou Slide 61 Uncle Tom's Cabin circa 1864. The Unexcelled Bijou Slide 56 Willie Hammond And Harvey Green Ten Nights in a Bar-room and What I Saw There. The Unexcelled Bijou Slide 55 Ten Nights in a Bar-room and What I Saw There. Extremely difficult to find Victorian Era toys like this one and specially hard the glass slides. McALLISTER was a leading American family of optical lantern manufacturers. In 1775 John McAllister emigrated to the USA from Scotland and opened there some years later an enlarged optical business in Philadelphia.
