Signed W. Walton underneath. William Louis Walton, 1808-1879, was an English landscape engraver. Black mat, wooden frame. Third and fourth. A view of a Chinese fortress and bridge. Titled Western Gate, Peking in English underneath and in German and French in the lower corners. Drawn by T. Allom, engraved by E. Brandard. A genre scene representing a Chinese headwear store. Titled Cap-Venders Shop, Canton in English underneath and in German and French in the lower corners. Drawn by T. Allom, engraved by W. Floyd. Thomas Allom, 1804-1872, was an English architect and topographical illustrator. These two prints are artworks executed for his book China Illustrated, 1845.
