AMERICAN PORTRAIT PAINTING BY REGONE PIERRAKOS
Regone Pierrakos, American, 1924 to 2005, oil on canvas portrait painting depicting a woman sitting on the chair. Regone Pierrakos studied at Hunter College and Columbia University from which she earned a degree in art history. She did work as a commercial artist but began painting landscapes depicting scenes from her world travels. Pierrakos traveled in Greece, Mexico, Germany, Italy, Germany, and the West Indies.
