1880 FRENCH CAVALRY OFFICERS SABER WITH ENGRAVING
An antique late 19th-century French heavy cavalry officers saber. 1854 model. Ribbed grip with brass guard. Engraved inscription Souvenir des Reservistes de la Classe 1880 on the blade indicates the the sword was belonged to a graduate of the Cavalerie de Reserve des Cuirassiers officers school. There are traces of engraved owners name on the facet of the blade. Collectible Arms And Armour, Cold Weapons And Swords, French Militaria.
