An antique mid-19th century European papier mache urn vase with hand-painted Renaissance Revival decor. The piece rests on four feet and square base. Faceted baluster shape, polychrome design inspired by the wall frescoes of Roman villas, flower garland motif. Lions head ring handles on the sides. Gilt torch finial tops the lid. Fine detail work.
