An antique Persian miniature painting. Late Qajar Empire period, ca. 1900 to 1925. An illustrated book page with handwritten Farsi text. The artwork depicts a prince on horseback killing a dragon. An illustration for The Shahnameh, or Book Of Kings by Ferdowsi, a Persian epic poet who lived in the 10th century AD.
