CHINESE PHOENIX BIRD JADE FIGURINE WITH WOOD STAND
An antique Chinese hand carved white Jade figurine. The figurine is made in the shape of a Fenghuang Phoenix bird, a miracle bird, in contrast to the Chinese dragon, embodies the feminine principle, a symbol of the south. The figurine is adorned with engraved detailed patterns. Mounted on a rectangular shaped wooden stand. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century.
