ANTIQUE SILVER RINGS GRAND TOUR REPRODUCTIONS
An antique Roman silver signet rings, reproductions of the Grand Tour. Both rings are smooth all around with relief images in the middle. The first depicts the winged horse Pegasus, and the second a chariot with a rider. Such objects were a popular souvenir production during the Grand Tour era, the 17th to early 19th century custom of a traditional trip through Europe, with Italy as a key destination, by upper class young European men.
