TWO ANTIQUE NECKLACES GRAND TOUR REPRODUCTIONS
A lot of two antique necklaces, reproductions of the Grand Tour. The first Tuareg necklace from Mauritania in Africa, consisting of hand painted colored elongated beads. The second necklace is of Yemeni origin with a part containing a prayer scroll. Such objects were a popular souvenir production during the Grand Tour era, the 17th to early 19th century custom of a traditional European trip, with Italy as a key destination, by upper class young European men.
