An antique European school religious oil painting on canvas, depicting the Virgin and child Jesus Christ playing with the John the Baptist. Painted by an unknown artist, and dated from the late 18th to early 19th century. According to tradition, Jesus is depicted dressed in flowing red fabrics, and his mother in blue robes. Unsigned. Housed in an old wooden frame. Antique Religious Items and Collectibles.
