An antique Russian book, Fables: Elephant and Pug, The Bear Among the Bees, The Elephant in the Voivodeship, by Ivan Andreevich Krylov. Illustrated by Vasily Timorev. Moscow, Publishing I. N. Knebel, 1913. In the publishers cover. The pages contain handwritten notes and library stamps. Timorev Vasily Porfirevich, 1870 to 1942, a painter, graphic artist, porcelain artist, founder of the New Society of Artists. He is known as an animal painter, as well as the creator of propaganda porcelain for the LFZ after the revolution. For the I. Knebel publishing house designed four books with fables by I.A.Krylov in 1912 to 1913. Ivan Andreevich Krylov, 1769 to 1844, is a Russian writer, the most significant fabulist in the history of Russian literature; journalist, publisher of satirical and educational magazines, bibliographer. Russian Illustrations, Childrens Books and Magazines, Graphic Art Prints, and Collectibles.
