18TH C ENGLISH BRONZE NECESSARY BOX ATTR TO JAMES COX
An antique 18th century English gilt bronze necessary box, attributed to the renowned English craftsman James Cox. Constructed from gold patinated bronze, the box features intricate decorative motifs. The box is adorned with a rich golden hue and ornate engravings, including detailed floral designs and cherubic figures. Inside, the box reveals a meticulously organized interior, which includes two finely crafted glass ink pots with delicate hand painted floral lids. It also contains a selection of writing implements: a gilded pen, multiple nibs, and a small blade.
