Leonie Rysanek (Vienna 1926- 1998)
Born to an Austrian mother and Czech father, in a family of opera singers (Kurt brother was baritone and soprano Lotte sister too), studied singing in his hometown with Alfred Jerger and Rudolf Grossmann, making his debut in 1949 in Innsbruck as it Agathe Der Freischütz. The repertoire embraced primarily the German work, in particular the Wagnerian repertoire (The Valkyrie, Tannhäuser, Lohengrin, Parsifal, The Flying Dutchman) and, in an even more distinctive, what Strauss (Chrysothemis in Elektra, Salome, the Empress in the woman without a Shadow, Marschallin in the knight of the rose), as well as Fidelio. It was also greatly active in the Italian opera, mostly Verdi (Macbeth, Nabucco, Un ballo in maschera, Don Carlo, Aida, La forza del destino, Othello), and in some titles Puccini (Tosca, Turandot). Portrait scene garments of famous soprano autographed.Excellent condition
