Mateh Dan-Kuzari Sheini. "Proves through logical arguments… the truth of the oral Torah." Authored by Rav Dovid Nito, Rav in Livorno and Rav of the Sephardic community in London.
Rare first edition in a combination of Hebrew and Spanish. A Hebrew-only edition was published that same year, but this edition is rarer and more complete.
The book is referred to as "the second Kuzari" because the first Kuzari proves the truth of the Written Torah, while this book proves the truth of the Oral Torah.
London, 1714. (One of the first Hebrew books printed in England.) Originally: 10, 254 pages; this copy is missing the first 13 pages, including title pages, and they have been replaced with photocopies.
New cover. Gilded edges. Quality paper. Wide margins. Very few tears and stains. Very good condition.
ספר 'מטה דן - כוזרי שני' "יוכיח בטענות שכליות.. אמיתות תורה שבעל פה" חיברו רבי דוד ניטו מרבני ליוורנו ורב הקהילה הספרדית בלונדון.
מהדורה ראשונה ונדירה, בעברית וספרדית משולבת. באותה שנה יצאה לאור מהדורה נוספת בעברית בלבד, אך המהדורה שלפנינו היא הנדירה יותר והמושלמת.
הספר נקרא כוזרי חלק שני, כיון שהכוזרי הראשון מוכיח לאמיתות התורה שבכתב, וספר זה מוכיח לאמיתות התורה שבע"פ.
לונדון תע"ד 1714. (מהספרים העבריים הראשונים מדפוסי אנגליה). במקור: 10, 254 ד'; בעותק זה חסר 13 דפים ראשונים כולל השערים והם הושלמו בצילום.
כריכה חדשה. חיתוך דפים מוזהב. נייר משובח. שוליים רחבים. מעט מאוד קרעים וכתמים. מצב טוב מאוד.
