The title page bears the personal stamp of Harav Meir Shapira, founder of the Daf Yomi and Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin. Inside the book are a number of corrections and two glosses in a different hand. One of them is signed A.Y.H. The title page bears the signature "Yechiel Michel Bara"n" as well as a signature in Latin letters: Dr. Michael Zaks.
Fine copy. Excellent condition. Cover detached and worn. Missing front cover and spine. Some holes and minor tears on the title page. Some stains and taping that do not affect the text.

דפוס ראשון, ע"פ כת"י עתיק מאוצרותיו של רבי מלאכי הכהן – ה'יד מלאכי'. ליוורנו, תק"ב 1742. [3], קמ [רשום: קלי] ד'; 32.5 ס"מ.
בדף השער חותמו האישי של הגה"ק רבי מאיר שפירא מייסד הדף היומי וישיבת חכמי לובלין, רבם של כמה קהילות מפוארות בישראל ונשיא אגודת ישראל בפולין. תלמידם של גדולי התורה והחסידות, בהם הרה"ק רבי שלום משאץ והמהרש"ם מבערז'אן וחסיד מובהק של הרה"ק רבי ישראל מטשורטקוב.
בתוך הספר מספר תיקונים ושני הגהות בכ"י שונה, אחת מהן חתומה: א. י. ה. בדף השער חתימה: "יחיאל מיכל בר"ן" וחתימה בלועזית: ד"ר מיכאל זקס.
עותק נאה. מצב מצוין. כריכה מנותקת ובלויה, ללא החלק הקדמי והשדרה. מספר חורים וקרעים קלים בדף השער. מספר כתמים והדבקות ללא פגיעה בטקסט.
