Number 110 on Stefansky's list of classic works.
Fine new cover. Stains and wear. Small hole in the center of pages 106-126. Some tears at the margins and on page 56, a tear with some damage to the text. Fair condition.
ספר 'תפארת שמואל' על הש"ס, רא"ש ומהרש"א וארבעה טורים, מאת הגה"ק רבי אהרן שמואל קאיידנובר. הובא לדפוס ע"י בנו הגה"ק רבי צבי הירש בעל הספה"ק 'קב וישר'.
ספר יסוד! דפוס ראשון. פרנקפורט דמיין, תנ"ז 1697. [2] ה' - קכו ד'; 20.5 ס"מ.
בדף השער חתימת יד קודשו של הגאון האדיר רבי בנימין זאב וולף לעוו מגדולי רבני הונגריה ומח"ס 'שער תורה'.

כריכה חדשה נאה. כתמים ובלאי. נקב קטן במרכז דפים קו – קכו. מעט קרעים בשוליים ובדף נו קרע עם מעט חסר בטקסט. מצב בינוני.
הגאון האדיר רבי בנימין זאב וולף לעוו [תקל"ז – תרי"א 1777/1851] בן הגה"ק רבי אלעזר לעוו בעל ה'מעשה רוקח'. היה מגדולי רבני הונגריה. חיבר סדרת ספרים בשם 'שערי תורה' אשר זכו להסכמותיהם של גדולי ישראל: רבי עקיבא איגר, החתם סופר, רבי מרדכי בנט ורבי ברוך פרנקל-תאומים.
המחבר הגה"ק רבי אהרן שמואל קאיידנובר, המהרש"ק [שפ"ד – תל"ו 1624/1676] מראשוני וגדולי האחרונים ורבן של ערים רבות באירופה. חיבר ספרי יסוד חשובים.
