Cosme Proenza Almaguer (1948-2022) Ink and Gouache on Heavy Paper, Untitled, Dated 1976, Dimensions 13.3 x 9.6 inches. Cosme Proenza was born in Holguin, Cuba March 5, 1948. Piece is accompanied by certificate of authenticity from artist foundation. A Cartoonist, illustrator and muralist. Member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and the International Association of Art (IAA). He has received several honors and awards for his work. Painter, draftsman, illustrator and muralist, studied at the National School of Art in Havana and the Master at the Institute of Fine Arts in Kiev , Ukraine. He is a member of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and the International Association of Arts (IAA), he practiced art education for fifteen years, was tutor of numerous theses and has lectured in national and foreign institutions. He participated as a juror in several rooms and their illustrations appear in national and foreign books and magazines.
