Antique c1880-1910 Churn Dash Quilt with Provenance & More
An Antique c1880-1910 indigo churn dash quilt measuring 70" x 86". Comprised of 39 churn dash blocks set on point 7 x 6, and staggered, blocks are 8.5" x 8.5". There is a solid red streak of lightening sashing 4.5" wide. It is hand pieced and hand quilted with cotton batting and a striped flannel backing. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front. Quilt is believed to have been made by Anna M. Brubaker (1857-1937) from Pennsylvania. Included in this lot are other items from her estate, including a night dress signed on back neckline by button; a linen bed sheet with AB and ABW initials 88" x 72"; a Show Towel with C P and 1895 or 1845 in tiny cross stitch 18 1/2" x 48"; an Amish teardrop style pincushion. All items appear to be in good to very good condition with only minor discolorations in the nightgown. Small archival box included. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
