Antique c1880 Ladies Wool Paisley Jacket. This unique antique c1880 Victorian jacket features a shell made of a colorful woven striped wool paisley with black silk velvet trim at the collar, cuffs, bottom hem and pocket trim. It has 5 front button closure, 2 functional pockets, and a dark grey polished cotton lining. The buttonholes are handmade. The black buttons seem age correct with one that seems to have been replaced with a similar option. The origins of this piece are unknown. Laying flat the jacket measures: shoulders 15'', bust 17.5'', waist 16'', sleeve 20.5'', length 23 3/4''. The jacket is in remarkably good condition for its age with light wear to the velvet trim, and discoloration to the lining. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
