Letter from Rabbi Shmaryahu Guraria regarding the appointment of Rabbi Nachum Goldschmid to the spiritual director of the Torat Emet Yeshiva
Letter signed by Rabbi Shmaryahu Goraria son-in-law of the Raya'tz Rabbe, in which he announces to Rabbi Hanoch Hendil about the appointment of Rabbi Nachum Goldschmid to the spiritual director of the Torah Emet Yeshiva. Atwatsk, Nissan 1939. Submitted while beginning to serve as the Executive Committee President of the World Chabad Association.
In his letter, the genius announces that Rabbi Nachum Goldsmith will take the place of the late Rabbi Alter Shimachovitz, and will take under him all the rights specified in the terms of the yeshivah.
Rabbi Shmaryahu Guraria [1887-1989]: son-in-law of the sixth Rebbe of Chabad Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson, brother-in-law of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson and spiritual director 'Tomchey Temimim' Lubavitch. roaming from Warsaw to Tel Aviv, and then to Poland, back to Riga, he finally arrived in the United States on Adar 1940. Upon their arrival in the United States in 1940, his father-in-law established 'Tomchey Temimim' yeshiva there, and appointed him as executive director and chairman of the Chabad Hasidic Association Worldwide.
