Hedva Franzi One of the leading painters of the 20th century in the field of painting facial expressions and living figures. was born in Budapest, Hungary, and began painting as a child. At the age of 10, her father was taken to a forced labor camp and never returned. Her brother and mother, who remained in the ghetto, managed to escape, and using forged documents hid in various places. At the end of the war, at the age of 17, she was accepted to the Academy of Art and graduated with honors for 6 years, specializing in figurative style - mainly painting portraits and landscapes, while using subtle abstraction. After her marriage in 1962 she immigrated to Israel. She has exhibited her paintings in Israel and around the world (among them a solo exhibition 'Hemdat Eini').
