Collection of Paper Items - Lodz Ghetto
Eight paper items, printed and handwritten, issued by the Lodz ghetto Judenrat for the Jewish residents of the ghetto. Lodz, 1940-1942. German. A little Polish and Yiddish.
1. TALON dla bidnych chorych - a signed voucher from the Lodz ghetto given to the poor after a visit to a doctor - an ink stamp of the Judenrat in the Lodz ghetto.
2. A residence card in the bathhouse and hotel in the ghetto for seven days, with strict instructions that if owner of the card does not stay in the hotel he must notify the Hosts and they put another person in his place (blank lines). Extremely rare.
3-4. Two tickets for a portion of milk.
5. Carten Aptile - a card for receiving cigarettes.
6. Birth certificate signed in May 1942.
7. An empty delivery note for the delivery of milk rations.
8. Card confirming the rental of a room in a guest house - August 1940.
Various sizes and conditions, general condition good.
