Manuscript - Two pages from the essay "Ir Giborim" by the owner of the "Kli Yakar" on the Torah
Handwritten leaf [two pages] from "ir Giborim" on the Torah by Rabbi Shlomo Ephraim Milonchitz, author of The "Kli Yakar". Before us part of the introduction to his above-mentioned essay, "Ptichot UShearim le Ir Giborim" - Sha'ar HaMidot Chapter II. - C. 18th century.
The author Rabbi Shlomo Ephraim of Łęczyca [1540-1619], known after his book The "Kli Yakar", was a rabbi, preacher, Rosh Yeshiva and Av Beit Din in the city of Prague in parallel with the marshal and the Shelah. In his youth he studied at the Maharshal Yeshiva which He calls him his teacher and Rabbi. His most important book is Kli Yakar- a commentary on the Torah. This book was written after his illness from which he recovered and the name "Shlomo" was added. The essay 'Ir Giborim' includes sermons, and morals on the Torah.
