American astronaut John Herschel Glenn - signed photo.
John Herschel Glenn Jr. (1921-2016) Fighter pilot, astronaut, and American politician from the Democratic Party. Glenn was the third American astronaut to reach space, and the first Which surrounded the Earth. Represented Ohio in the Senate for four terms from 1975–1999. In 1998, at the age of 77, he returned to space aboard the space shuttle Discovery, making him the oldest astronaut in history.
