16 large photographs from the day of the liberation of Paris from the Nazi occupation - August 1944, signed on the back with the seals of the photography agencies who acted on the day of liberation: L.A.P.I and 'press liberation'.
Photos: The entry of the Second Armored Division of the Free French Army into the city, German soldiers raising their hands in submission and being taken into imprisonment, General Charles de Gaulle and commanders, masses of French soldiers riding in tanks as they enter the city through the Victory Gate. In addition, photographs of Winston Churchill, Roosevelt, General Montgomery, and Stalin appear. The liberation of Paris in Operation Oberlord marked the end of World War II.
