Kenya Exiles Ball - The first festive event of the Kenya Exiles in Eretz Israel - 1949
A large poster announcing the 'Kenya Exile Ball' to mark the one-year anniversary of the exile's return to Israel, which took place on July 11, 1949 - a dance ball - all over the Hawaii Garden "Dancing until the Morning Light". Early ticket sales at a discount to people from Sudan, Eritrea, and Kenya.
On July 9, 1948, the ship sailed, which returned the exiles from Kenya to Eretz israel with the approval of the British, and arrived three days later. The exiles were received in a state ceremony and quickly turned to the battlefields of the War of Independence. The ball announced in the poster in before us is in fact the first festive event held by the exiles in the Land of Israel about a year after their return.
