Eastern European Jews - Collection of Postcards
13 Real photo postcards of the Jews of Eastern Europe [mainly Poland and Russia] in their traditional dress. Various places, different printers, early 20th century.
Among them: young Talmidey Chachamim studying in front of the stender, Jewish children distributed German newspaper during World War I (postcard published by Georg Preuss Berlin), Judenhaus in Rawa, Jewish goldsmith, Jewish beggars, Zidovsky drotar, Jewish merchants, wise student while studying, older Jews from Marmarosh, Two Jews from Lodz in their traditional dress, an older Jew from the Carpathians, and others.
Postcards: 9x14 cm. Four postcards were mailed. general condition good.
