Photo folder containing 10 photographs (connected) of the various sections of the Breendonk camp. Among them: the torture chamber infamous for its horror in the bunker of the camp, the gallows, the hall where the Nazis judged the prisoners, the main staircase, the prisoners' crematorium, and more. On the cover of the album it is written: "From September 20, 1940, to August 31, 1944, Breendonk fortress was the only camp in Belgium run by the SS and was directly dependent on the Gestapo. Almost 5,000 Belgians and many foreigners were imprisoned there. The SS boasted that it was the most terrible place in Western Europe."
