Collection of certificates and personal rescue documents from the Holocaust period - Budapest, 1944 - 1945
A rare collection of 13 certificates and personal documents of Salomon (Shlomo) Miklos and his wife Orna Miklos. Hungary (most of them from Budapest), the first half of the 1940s. Protection documents, letters of sponsorship, certificates of exemption from wearing a yellow patch, certificates confirming that the two are employees of the Swiss embassy and entitled to protection, and more. Hungarian and a little Russian.
- Two "letters of protection" - two official documents issued by the Department of Foreign Interests of the Swiss Embassy in Budapest, which were given to Shlomo Miklos, one on October 23, 1944, and the second on November 1, 1944, certifying that his name appears in a Swiss collective passport and that he should be regarded as a valid passport holder. Signed with the stamp "Legation de Suisse, Budapest". These documents were issued by the righteous among the nations Carl Lutz, through which he saved thousands of Jews during his work at the Swiss Embassy in Budapest.

Both were issued on the same date - September 5, 1944. The ID cards include passport photos of Shlomo and his wife Orna, and a special attachment for each card stating that the bearer of this ID card, issued by the Budapest Police Commander, is exempt from the obligation to wear the yellow badge, and signed by the secretary. (Hungarian)
- A rare certificate issued by the Swiss Embassy in Budapest confirming that Shlomo Miklos and his wife are included in the list of people authorized to emigrate to the Land of Israel. Dated August 2, 1944.
- A certificate of "Exemption from Public Work" given by the Swiss Embassy to Shlomo Miklos on March 4, 1945, stating that he is an employee of the Swiss Embassy, considered a Swiss citizen, and therefore exempt from any compulsory work. (This refers to forced labor).
- A rare certificate issued by the Hungarian Red Cross stating that Shlomo Miklos is an employee of the International Red Cross and his role is to assist orphans whose parents were killed or kidnapped by fascists, and that he should be assisted in his work. Budapest, February 13, 1945.
- An identity card issued by the Central Council of Hungarian Jews certifying that Shlomo Miklos is a resident of District VII in Budapest and that he is active in the Central Council of Hungarian Jews. May 31, 1944.
