Moral poems as well as poems in honor of Carlo Felice King of Sardinia-Piedmont and his family, in honor of various Italian personalities from the cities of Turin and Venice by the genius and great poet Rabbi Avraham Balaish. In addition to the Italian and French translations, there is also a German translation, by Moshe Steinschneider.

The author Rabbi Avraham Balaish was born in Tunis in the year 1773 - grew up in a community of Livorno immigrants in the city of Tunis among the great and wise men of the generation. He was close to the authorities and extremely rich. In 1808, the wheel turned on him and he had to flee Tunis with nothing, following the riots against the governor of the city, in which the property of the residents of Tunis, the foreign subjects, the Jews and the Christians were looted.
In 1810, Hacham Avraham Balaish arrived in the Land of Israel and settled in Jerusalem, where he lived in great poverty. After traveling he came to France, and served as the rabbi of the Jewish community for about twenty years. In 1840, he moved to London, where he served as the rabbi of the Portuguese community. Besides being a great scholar, rabbi in several communities and a prolific author, he was a great poet..
