Two group photographs - Hebrew educational institutions in Rowna and Sarny
Two group photographs of students and their teachers in Rowna and Sarny. Eastern Europe between the two world wars.
- Students and teachers of the folk school in Rafalowka, Sarny district, 4th grade, school year 1926-27, with teachers: Miriam Isaacson-Gruber, Michael Gruber (her husband) and Yitzhak Dichter. The sitting girls are holding a sign on which is written: "Tarbut School B, Rafalowka, Department 4". 9x14 cm. light cracks.
- A group of Hebrew children and youth with the teacher Michael Gruber, the "Tarbut" movement school, school year 1924-25, the town of Stepan, Rowna district, Poland between the world wars. 9x14 cm.
It was usual in the life of a teacher in those days that his life consisted of many travels and moves between the different towns according to the occasional demands. Both photographs are described in handwriting on the back.
