Motion Pictures of German Origin: Subject to Jurisdiction of Office of Alien Property, published by the Department of Justice Office of Alien Property - United States, December 1, 1952 - First Edition.

An alphabetical list of over 4000 German motion pictures examined by the United States Attorney General, whose rights were administered by the Office of Alien Property. These films received a special license establishing that they did not conflict with public interest. American citizens interested in screening the films detailed here had to submit a written request to the Office of Alien Property stating the title of the motion picture desired, the type of license requested - distribution for commercial theater screenings, exhibitions, television etc., and the time period desired for the license to screen the film. According to the office regulations, any motion picture produced in Germany between 1941-1947 was subject to obtaining a license from the Office of Alien Property and each request was examined individually.

Many copies of this booklet were published in later years. It is rare to find the original copy before us. Only three records listed in the world cat library catalog.
