Raphael Tuck & Sons - 21 postcards of scenes from the Land of Israel in lithographic print

21 lithographic printed postcards with views from Eretz Israel published by Raphael Tuck & Sons - England, early 20th century.

In the postcards: The inhabitants of the country in traditional dress, views of Jerusalem and other cities, important sites, and more.

The postcard business of the English Jewish Tuck was opened in London in the early 1870s. Tuck & Sons have an honored place in the world of antique postcards. Thanks to the beautiful postcards they created, which were considered groundbreaking in graphic design at the time, they were chosen to supply postcards to the British royal court. On the back of these postcards appears the text: Art publishers to their majesties the king & Queen, with the British royal emblem. Tuck employed the best graphic designers, and due to demand also supplied postcards to the non-Jewish population. In the last decade of the 19th century, Tuck opened a branch on Broadway in New York to distribute their merchandise, and at that time the agency excelled in printing Jewish New Year postcards.
