Seven Rare Photographs of Menachem Begin (Future Prime Minister of Israel) and His Wife, Aliza Begin (Two Years Before Their Marriage) During His Tenure as Head of Betar in Poland, (1937).
The photographs feature Menachem Begin alongside his wife and comrades, with the portraits of Theodor Herzl and Nahum Sokolow in the background. In one of the photos, Eliyahu Giladi is seen next to Begin as a member of Betar in Poland—Giladi would later become one of the leaders of Lehi and was executed by the underground due to severe ideological disputes with Yitzhak Shamir and other Lehi activists. Other images depict Begin and his comrades in gatherings against an urban backdrop, and more.
Some of the photographs bear an ink stamp on the back from the Fot. B. Sarawajski studio, and one photograph includes a handwritten dedication from 1937.
