'Der Rebbe un der Shatan' [The Rebbe and the Satan]: Satmar and the Neturei Karta in Their War Against the State of Israel. New York, 1959. Yiddish. A rare publication, as most known copies were reportedly burned by Satmar Hasidim.

This collection of sharp critiques attacks the Satmar ideology and the behavior of its followers, according to the author. It includes harsh criticism of the education system of Satmar children in America ("I believe the greatest crime of Satmar is the corruption of Jewish children's minds..."), allegations of telephone terrorism against opponents, and more. The author, Chaim Lieberman, was a well-known bibliographer, author of "Ohel Rachel, " personal secretary of the Rebbe Rayatz (Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn), and the chief librarian of his personal collection. Throughout the book, Lieberman uses extremely strong language, calling certain Satmar actions "the greatest abomination, " and asking rhetorically, "Could anything be more disgraceful than this?" He provides detailed descriptions of acts of vandalism, among other accusations. The book sparked significant controversy, copies were destroyed wherever they were found.
