Magnificent olive wood writing case - 'souvenir of Jerusalem'. Palestine, c- 1890
Magnificent writing case. Sculpted olive wood set with wood and etchings.Temple Place, Western Wall, Rachel's Tomb. Jerusalem c-1890.
In front carving work - The holy place and Omer Mosque and flowers with a burnt frame. above: 'souvenir of Jerusalem' and Star of David. On both sides carving work of the Western Wall and Rachel's Tomb. Opens with hinges to the writing surface, and another lid is opened to store the writing tools.
Length: 34 cm. Depth: 29 cm. Maximum height: 13 cm. Except for peels and cracks in the central frame, good condition.
