Letter from Rabbi Shalom Bezalel Sadikov, the man who congratulated the blessing of "Shehecheyanu" on the death of his son

Letter in the handwriting and signature of the Maggid Rabbi Shalom Bezalel Zadikov on matters related to Hadar Rupin, Iyar 1909.

Rabbi Shalom Bezalel Sadikov [1853-1918] Magid meysharim in the Lithuanian and Eretz Israel, who preached a great deal of Hibat Zion and immigration to Eretz Israel. Born in Lithuania, he was educated in Educated Yeshivot Lithuania. Over time, he discovered his ability to speak and began to demand many in synagogues in various communities, focusing on preaching to Hibat Zion. After the "Mizrachi" established, he was sent by Rabbi Yitzchak Ya'akov Reigns to give propaganda sermons in the cities about Hibat Zion. In 1906, at the age of 53, he immigrated to Eretz Israel. While in Eretz Israel, he continued to demand many and advocate for pioneering and settling the land. He delivered his sermons at the workshop of the artisans in Neve Shalom in Jaffa (where the Craftsmen's Center organization grew). When he learned that his pioneer son, Eliezer, who was working in the Upper Galilee, had gathered, gathered the audience in the synagogue and enthusiastically demanded their death for his son for the country, and finally greeted a "Shehecheyanu" blessing. Before World War I, he traveled to Russia for a round of sermons on immigration to Eretz Israel and Hibat Zion, but he was unable to return to Israel because of the war. Died in Minsk in 1918.
