GERMAN WEHRPASS DUNKIRK VETERAN
German Wehrpass for Sergeant Wilhelm Stippel (b. 1916), a veteran of Dunkirk. His Wehrpass indicates that he was assigned to the Pioneer Battalion 16 2. Company at Minden in Weser in 1932. Stipple participated in the Battle of France, served in Holland, Belgium, the Battle of Dunkirk, and the French coast. He was injured by grenade sharpnel in August 1942, he received the black wound badge and the Iron Cross 2nd Class. Further included is an assesment of Stippel, dated 1943; a proof of training and a notice of recruitment. Four pieces.
