WORLD WARS DOCUMENTS FOR GRENADIER JOHANNES DELFS (27)
Large collection of original documents issued during both World Wars to Grenadier Johannes Delfs (b. 1894, Neumunster, Schleswig, Prussia), who was trained at the interpreter school in Berlin in 1918 and eventually commandeered to the armistice commission in Spa, Belgium. The group includes two photos of Delfs; his military ID and sold book from WWI; official documents from the German Armistice Commission Military pass; a military pension book; a 1918 typed (preliminary?) note certifying that Delfs received the Iron Cross Second Class; an award certificate for the Honor Cross of the World War 194/1918, dated 4. December 1934; a certificate of entitlement for the wound badge in black, dated 24.9.1936; certificate of discharge from 5. August 1945. An interesting group spanning thirty years containing more documents not listed here.
