* The purpose of this book is to compile, classify and analyze the proverbs in the Hebrew language, which is the Jewish Sephardic used in northern Morocco, while examining the fundamental question of the popular proverb as a genre expressing group identity. This comprehensive connection is a pioneering and innovative enterprise, built with scientific rigor, and it presents the tradition of proverbs in her writings, emphasizing its unique lines, which express the group's "voice". The book contains 1,040 proverbs collected in field work and printed sources, and they constitute a documentation of a pagan tradition spanning some 80 years in the geographical area in which the spokespeople of the Hectica or their descendants were scattered: Morocco, Spain, France, America and Israel.
