Nani Roma, whose real name is Juan Roma Cararach, began his career racing in the enduro category in the early nineties, becoming senior European champion in 1994.

In 1996 he took part in the Dakar for the first time, also winning a stage. In 1997 he was the Spanish national enduro champion but continued to participate in the Dakar Rally until he won it with a KTM in 2004.

The first Spaniard to win the race on a motorbike, he later switched to cars, competing with a Mitsubishi car.

After the official BMW team, Monster Energy-X-Raid, did not take him among its drivers at the 2011 Dakar (he had however found a steering wheel for another team at the last moment), he will race the Mini All 4 Racing in the 2012 edition of the South American rally raid.

In 2014 he achieved success at the Dakar Rally also among the cars with MICHEL PERIN as navigator, becoming one of the few drivers to have succeeded.
