A MEISSEN PORCELAIN FIGURINE OF A MOOR WITH PARROT BY PAUL SCHEURICH
Delicately painted Meissen porcelain figurine of a moor with a bird. The figurine was modeled by Paul Scheurich (1883-1945) in 1922. Marked underglaze with Meissen blue crossed swords.

Paul Scheurich was a German painter, sculptor and graphic designer. From 1918 to 1936, he created a series of exceptional designs for the Meissen Porcelain Factory. Scheurich is considered one of the most prominent porcelain sculptors of the first half of the 20th century.
