AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY EIGHT-DAY SEAWEED MARQUETRY LONGCASE CLOCK the 12" square brass dial with wheatear engraved border crown and cherub spandrels and silvered chapter ring having Roman numerals and engraved signature surrounding a matted centre with ringed winding holes seconds dial and date aperture. Fronting a five-pillar weight-driven movement with anchor escapement and bell strike. The caddy top case with applied pillars and elaborate marquetry trunk and base fitted lenticle and bottom plinth.
