MOUNTBATTEN LOUIS: (1900-1979) British Admiral of World War II. Signed First Day Cover featuring two postage stamps, a Greenland one and a second featuring the First Non-Stop Atlantic Flight, Alcock & Brown, post marked at Stromejord, 25th August 1970. A second ink stamp commemorates the 25th anniversary, V-J Day, 15th August 1945-1970, Royal Air Force, St Mawgan. Signed Mountbatten of Burma, Hon. Air Marshal, in black ink to a clear area of the envelope. Lord Mounbatten was killed in his fishing boat, together with his grandson and two other relatives, by the IRA in 1979. VG £100-150
