Obverse: features a lion and pointed stars of the New South Wales coat of arms, with the British cross dividing the background and eight British Tudor roses, and also features an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II and the motto "Just Rise Again, How Bright You Shine."
Reverse: Includes kangaroo, merino sheep, wheat and the floral wort. Around the NSW banner are floral symbols of each state with the rays of the rising sun.
