Ateret Zkenim and Tzurot Ha'Yesodot – Rabbi Isaac Abravanel – Amsterdam 1739
The author: Don Isaac Abravanel (1437-1508). The leader of the Sephardic Jewry during the banishment of the Jews from Spain, one of the great commentators of the Bible and a great philosopher who left his mark on Jewish philosophy.
The book was meant to interpret the difficult verses of the Torah and "to teach the people about the forms of the elements".
At the end of the book, the essay 'Tzurot Ha'Yesodot' (The Forms of the Elements) is added.
Printed "under the supervision and direction of the trustees at the printing house and house of the orphans of the late Rabbi Shlomo Katz". On page 52 there is a nice engraving of the Priestly Blessing, with the name of the printing house 'Props' (who were priests).
