"Shir Chadash [new song]… regarding our rescue from a conflagration which erupted in the yard of the Jews in Ferrara on Shabbat Acharei Mot 18…”. Ferrara, [c. 1855].
Two manuscripts in Italian handwriting. Poem of fifteen stanzas (opens with: blessed is the eternal G-D), which describes the rescue from the conflagration. According to the ruling of the committee of the congregation, the poem is recited every year “in the company of… on evening preceding Rosh Chodesh Iyar… except for a few individuals who recite it in their homes”.
