An 18th century Chinese Nanking Cargo blue and white and porcelain tea bowl and saucer with brown outer, decorated to the interior with sprays of flowers and leaves and a continuous cross-hatch design to the rim, D.7.5cm (tea bowl), D.10.6cm (saucer) Provenance: 1752-1985 (the Dutch East India Company ship Geldermalsen sinks in the South China Sea near Java, Captain Michael Hatcher and his team recover the porcelain from the ship in 1985) Sold at Christies Amsterdam 1986 to Spinks Sold by Spinks in June 1986 to the previous deceased owner
